Annapurna Area Treks
Annapurna region and Pokhara valley are located in central Nepal. This is the most popular trekking destination in Nepal Himalaya. This area has many major trekking routes such as Kaligandaki Valley, Jomsom Muktinath, Annapurna Base Camp, Tilicho lake, Nar phu and the Circuit of entire Annapurna massif.
Pokhara is also a good starting place for a number of shorter treks of this area. The ancient kingdom of Lo (Mustang) and Dhaulagiri are also geographically a part of Annapurna region. About two-third of the trekkers who visit Nepal every year make the trek in Annapurna region. It has high crossing passes, hot springs, World’s deepest valley, Tibet-like country, view of 360 degree panorama of Himalaya, the hidden valley, beautiful lake like Tilicho, closed mountain view from Mardi Himal base camp, rich Gurung culture at Siklish and Damodar Kunda, picturesque villages and of course friendly local people.
